ABOUT US

We are located in a priveleged tropical area in the Northern part of South America, with one of the most beautiful and diverse rain Forrest regions in the World. Our commitment is to working with local communities in organized and rational harvesting of the forests within these communities, bringing sustainable job growth and development, within all ethical and legal means and away from violence and drugs.

Fundemantally we believe in the conservation of the rain forests where these indigineos communities have lived for over 400 years, by showing them that within the areas where they live they have, if well managed and harvested, means for increasing their quality of life, without destroying this incredible habitat.
We are convinced that through organized and rational harvesting of the forest, we can achieve for ever their conservation and biodiversity for all humanity for generations to come.  Without such careful harvesting, demographic pressures and the expansion of farming and ranching promoted often by those not of the community, become the main enemies of conservation for such Rain Forests across the world, and this is specially thru here in the CHOCO.

The cruel reality is that Rain Forests are found mainly in countries with many economic and social problems, making the protection of these areas very difficult, if not imposible.  If the communities within the Rain Forest, do not find alternatives for sustenance or improvements to their quality of life harvesting the Rain Forest, they are often the ones who slowly promote the disappearance of the forests and and with it we will lose their biodiversity for ever.

This sustainability is what we look forward to achieve with the fair trade of the products of our region.
We specialized our work in several different typed of woods such as:
- Palo de Cera ( Gusanero - Colombia )
- Guayacan ( Bola - Colombia )
- Granadillo ( Colombia - Venezuela )
- Cedro Macho ( Costa Rica )
- Abarco ( Colombia - Bacú Venezuela )
- Tamarindo ( Colombia )
And many mores ( see fact Sheets )
